Since I am now a high school teacher I am looking forward to visiting wiht some of my former teachers. Judging from some of the e-mail addresses it would appear that there are many KHS grads who are now passing on their accumulated wisdom to the next generation. Since I am also a city councilman here in Avenal, I am interested talking to any other Vikings who have ventured into politics. See you at the zoo. FirstName: Doug CommentsJust Checking in and looking forward to the reunion. FirstName: John Comments

With less than a week to go it looks like we're definitely headin' for the party of the century. It's not often that I get back to the 'burg, and I am not going to be able to make it to the reunion, but I have absolutely loved perusing the class entries in this guest book. I've enjoyed it so much, in fact, that my middle-school munchkins, much in need of my velvet-gloved discipline, have been almost totally ignored since discovering this site. Have a great reunion, and give a big HI to Nosey the elephant for me at the zoo. . .that is, if Nosey is still around. Cheers, Vikings. The days of the green and the gold were pretty good. FirstName: Robert CommentsHere's something for all the alumni grads that are planning to get into K-Town early and would like to do something the day before the "event of the millennium". A friend and I are holding the "4TH ANNUAL CHADWELL/GONZALES GOLF TOURNAMENT" on the day before the Swedish Festival/KHS Reunion. The entry fee is $80.00 per person, and it is open to both men and females who like to chase a little ball around a beautiful course and cuss when the clubs being used don't work the way they are supposed to. If you have a foursome, great! If not we always have people that are looking to fill out their team. It's format is Orange Ball/Best Ball. EACH person out of the foursome gets the honor of playing the "orange ball" on their "designated hole" while the other three play "best ball". Needless to say the orange ball is usually the most hated thing at the end of 18 holes. (I didn't know there were so many adjectives for an orange ball). BUT! Who cares because the whole day is dedicated to having a good time and nobody really cares. Included: +Golf and carts at beautiful Sherwood Forest Golf Course. +Monogrammed golf shirts for each player with my name on them. +Refreshments on the course. +Gift Prizes at the course. +New York Steak Dinner following the game at the luxurious Kingsburg Gun Club. (We have all ditched there at some point in our high school careers). Your significant other is also invited to the dinner at NO EXTRA COST! +Prizes are raffled off during the dinner. +Open Bar!!! +Dancing following the dinner into the wee hours to prepare ourselves for things to come the next day. (I'm not talking maypoles either). The date for this event: May 19,2000 Time: Check-in 12:00 P.M. (Or before if you want to hit a bucket of balls) Tee Off 1:00 P.M. Cut-Off Date: May 1,2000 If you are interested please let me know ASAP. We need to have a head count for the shirts and we are cutting the teams to the first 30 teams entered with money. Contact me at: Robert Gonzales Financial Services 1617 W. Shaw Ave., Ste. H Fresno, Ca. 93711 Phone: 559.226.7920 Fax: 559.226.7923 Cell Phone:559.681.6093 This is our 4th year holding this tournament and it's been great fun for everybody. I guarantee you golf skills are not a pre-requisite, just a common goal to have a good time with friends. Ed O., if you're coming give me a call so we can hook up and get a foursome together.

Chaffee Zoo is a great idea, it sure beats "Fridolph's Barn", "The Dump", "The Drop", "Derelict Park", or some of the other hotspots from that long ago time of get-togethers (and of course the drag races on Madsen Rd, whose nickname I will not write here!). I'll forward this on to others who were in the class years listed. Ginger (Grinner) Selsor FirstName: Elizabeth CommentsWon't be able to make the Reunion but wishing you all the best. I haven't had a chance to look through the site yet, but I can hardly wait. See you all there. FirstName: Michael CommentsThis site is fantastic!!! The old photo of the "original" KHS, brought back some very fond and funny and sad memories. The old school had such an awesome personality. I feel extremely fortunate to have attended a smaller school like KHS, where you know most everyone, instead of a larger, less personal school. When I received my invitation to the Class of 1970's Multi-Year reunion, I was so excited, then I saw the date and almost cried. You see, my fiancée and I own a antiques and collectible shop here in Ventura named "Garden Angel Collective", plus we do antique shows and swap meets here in the central coast and the southern California area, well, the weekend of the reunion, we have a big show we're doing that we've been planning for over a year. We may not be at the reunion in the flesh, but we'll definitely be there in spirit. I know everyone will have a great time!!! Have fun and enjoy life to the fullest!!!
